Small Groups

A Key Place for Community and Growth

Small groups gather during the week in homes and at Hillcrest to grow UP in our devotion to God, IN with our devotion to one another, and OUT by joining God’s purposes locally and globally.

Continuing the Conversation bubble

Five-week Small Group Experience starts Sunday, April 23!

If you have not yet connected to a small group, we'd love for you to meet up for a casual discussion of the sermon co-led by Claire McClun at 10:45 AM in room 204. We'll use five simple discussion prompts (see below) so no pre-work is necessary. If you'd like to sign up, email   or just show up--you're welcome to join at any time.

1. What is something you noticed for the first time?

2. What questions did you have?

3. Was there anything that bothered you?

4. What did you learn about loving God?

5. What did you learn about loving others?

Come join the conversation. We'll save you a seat!

Email   if you are interested in joining a small group for the next session. Questions? Contact Claire McClun, Associate Pastor of Adult Discipleship or email  .

Q: Matthew uses the term "kingdom of heaven" about 30 times. How we can make its presence more visible in our world today?

A: A key way we point to the kingdom is spreading the message about Jesus the King. Click here to read a conversation about how to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ today.

Q: How do we understand passages that restrict the role of women in the Church (1 Corinthians 11:2-16; 14:34-35; 1 Timothy 2:9-15)?

A: Click here for an article by Klyne Snodgrass, former professor of New Testament at North Park Seminary, that engages these passages and provides a case for the unrestricted ministry of women.
