Advent at Hillcrest

Advent Sermon Series! Join us on Sundays at 9 or 10:45 AM or online, for worship and a message from Christmas Interruptions, our Advent sermon series. Every day is an opportunity for God to interrupt your life, to move you in a new direction, and to shine through your life. The birth story of Jesus is filled with surprising moments and different reactions to them: there was doubt, trust, hope, and celebration. When you look for divine interruptions in your everyday life, you might be surprised by how God shows up.

A Way to the Manger now through December 21 | You’re invited to a hands-on, come-and-go experience in the chapel this Advent Season. It’s designed to keep us pursuing new life in Jesus all season long. Anyone can join us from 10 to 10:45 AM and after the 10:45 AM service. Each week offers something new—hope, peace, joy and love—as we learn to follow Jesus, welcome everyone, and love all.

Christmas-Themed Hymn Sing on Sunday, December 21 from 6:30 to 7:45 PM in the sanctuary. Join us for a warm and joyful Hymn Sing when we'll lift our voices together in worship, singing the classic carols and songs that point our hearts toward the hope of Jesus. Come experience the beauty, community, and wonder of the season. Family, friends, and neighbors are invited—everyone is welcome!

Plan now to join us on Wednesday, December 24, for one of our Christmas Eve services at 3 or 5 PM. We'll gather as a whole church family with friends and neighbors to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the one who helps us live an Interrupted Life. Think of a friend or neighbor who may not have a church home and invite them today. (Invitations are available in the lobby.) We'll join you in praying for them to say yes and help them experience what it means to know Jesus. Kids and students are invited to worship with their families. Selfie booth available for individual and group photos!

On Christmas Eve, we invite you to grab a box of donuts as you leave and deliver them to select locations where people have to work that evening. It's a Hillcrest tradition to thank people in our community as we drive home after the service.

Serve on Christmas Eve | Christmas Eve is an important night in the life of our church. Join us to celebrate Jesus' birth! Attend one service and serve at the other. Sign up here to help us share the amazing story of the birth of Jesus.

ONE SERVICE on Sunday, December 28 at 9 AM ONLY. We will listen to stories of interruption from 2025 and prepare to start the new year filled with hope and expectation. It is going to be a great morning together! Online or in person at 9 AM. Nursery available for kids birth through two years-old. All ages worship together in the sanctuary. No programs for kids or students.

Advent Conspiracy is Rescheduled

As we move toward the end of 2025, we are excited to let you know that we are rescheduling the Advent Conspiracy! Over the last several years, Hillcrest has conspired (in a good way!) to raise funds for one of our global or local mission partners during the Advent season. This year, we will take on this challenge during the season of Lent (Feb 18-April 5). This will help us focus our efforts on stewardship and clarify our invitation to this special giving opportunity.
