Ash Wednesday Experiential Service on Wednesday, March 5 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in the sanctuary.
"I am reduced to dust and ashes. I cry out to You, God, but you do not answer; I stand up, but you merely look at me." —Job 30:19-20
Join us as we begin the 40-day journey to Easter Sunday. In order to celebrate the resurrection and new life Jesus invites us toward, we must first embrace the broken nature of our relationship with God. Our sin creates a barrier. Our guilt interferes with our heart's devotion to our Creator. We need to be changed.
The ashes of Ash Wednesday remind us that we are only human and if we are to be more, we must rely on God to bring something new. On March 5, we invite you to allow the Spirit of God to change your heart and change your mind, understand your need, confess your sin, and walk in the new life of Jesus.
This experiential service will include worship, Scripture reading, interactive stations, and is open to all ages: kids, students, and adults. Everyone is welcome!
